Mjolnir’s Strike rewards page made me realized that I may have overlooked how the rank works in Fire Emblem Heroes. I knew that players may have the same rank. But, somehow when I saw the maximum rank in Mjolnir’s Strike, I just assume that to be the total number of players. Until today, I just didn’t realized it that number of Rank does not necessarily equal to number of players. It’s possible to have more players than the maximum number of ranks.
Mjolnir’s Strike Seasons 1 Through 4 — Fire Emblem Heroes
Mjolnir’s Strike is the latest game mode that was added to Fire Emblem Heroes mobile game. This week is the 4th season for this game mode.
This game mode has 4 phases: brace, shield, counter and rest phase. Brace: players set up their defense team. Shield: players actually play a game to get a high score, once is enough. But players can play multiple times and edit their defense team for higher score. The Shield phase only last 1 day though. Counter: players click a button to launch arrows up to 3 times. Rest: players simply wait until the next season.
Arena Tier 21 Cut-off Score – Water Season – Fire Emblem Heroes
It looks like I’m going to fail to maintain the arena tier 21 this week. My score was actually a bit higher than last week, 2 points higher to be exact. Unfortunately, that’s not going to be enough. For some reason, I’m really unlucky with my arena run.
I spent about 40 crest or 120 swords fishing the score. I actually improved my team a bit so that my arena score actually ranges from 738 to 752. It is technically possible to get the 752 score. However, I couldn’t get that score when I tried it. I’m not quite sure how IS implemented their matchmaking algorithm. I have some ideas but not sure if that’s really how they made it.
Arena Tier 21 Cut-off Score – Earth Season – Fire Emblem Heroes
The arena cut-off score has increased considerably since the latest update IS made early December 2019. Starting in version 4.0, players will get +12 points per game as long as they use a bonus hero to defeat at least 1 enemy. Prior to the update, player will get +3 points for every enemy that the bonus hero defeat. Maximum extra points per game remain the same at +12. However, since player has to defeat only 1 enemy with bonus hero, it has negative effect to the overall score.
Since it’s much easier to get the +12 points, the majority of players will get this extra points. The variations come from the base arena team score and how much the player are willing to fish for the higher score. Skill becomes less important in this mode now. The new change benefits less skillful players that invest more money (more wisely) in the game. The armor meta is now making a comeback. As of today, (Duo?) Armor heroes score the highest.
My 2019 5* Summons – Where Are My Heroes Now? – November & December – Fire Emblem Heroes
Looking back on the year 2019, we’ve gotten a ton of new heroes. As a free-to-play player, I haven’t spent a single penny on the game. So far, I’ve reached tier 21 in Arena, top 1k in allegiance battles, and tier 27 in Aether Raids.
The only thing I haven’t done so far is reach top 1k arena assault… I’ve only managed to reach about rank 1,500, so I’m still a little ways off.
In this article, I will give my reasoning as to why I chose to summon them, and my thoughts on their gameplay, along with what their purpose is in my collection.
Most of the units which I summon are only used for the Arena Assault if they aren’t used on my core teams for Aether raids.
Summoning Strategy
In the year 2019, I mostly stuck to summoning on the legendary banners, as they were the most value for your orbs.
Unlike a lot of the top-tier free-to-play players, I do not want to fodder my only copy of a unit—I still haven’t foddered any of my 5* units in which I have a single copy of, no matter how bad they are.
A Retrospective Look
Because of the large amount of heroes I got during the year 2019, I’ve decided to break this article into many parts. This article will only contain units which I’ve received in January 2019.
Most of the time, I use the unit for a bit, like the tempest trials, but after that, I rarely use them again after that point if they are “too weak” in my eyes. Every hero has their own use, and all of them can be used for PVE content (like using in the training tower),in squad assaults, or in the blessed gardens.
But for PVP-type purposes such as the Arena, highly-merged units are required, with suboptimal builds. Movement assist skills are much better gameplay-wise than playing with rallies.
I feel that I should use my units that I’ve gotten more often. However, I don’t really “feel” like using them mainly because my go-to teams are already set in place. Additionally, with my huge collection of 5* heroes, it’s hard to go around and use everyone because the game modes restrict your formation to only a handful of units, and since these aren’t highly invested, I don’t use them too often outside of the AA or other multi-map battles.
The Highest Stats I’ve Ever Seen – Fire Emblem Heroes
A while ago, I got my brother to start playing Fire Emblem Heroes.
When I encouraged him to play Aether Raids, something interesting happened.
I didn’t know that if you’re in a low tier of Aether Raids, you get a massive fort level advantage.
That leads to really amazing stats!
Just take a look at these screenshots of his units. Note that they aren’t merged, because my brother is also free to play, by the way. They are also not summoner supported.
