Earlier today, the Valorant developer team released the trailer for the new agent Tejo, showcasing all of his abilities. The Valorant community is freaking out over how Tejo’s kit seems to be overpowered and in desperate need of a nerf. In this article, I will be going over everything you need to know about this agent.
Tejo’s Abilities
Starting off with his first ability, Guided Salvo, this is an ability you get for free at the start of each round. This ability is essentially a missile strike, allowing you to shoot up to two missiles anywhere within a certain range, as shown in the image below.
To choose a location to launch the missile, you left-click on the map, and then right-click to launch them. These missiles will travel the shortest direct path to your target. A cool fact about this is that if you drop both missiles on the same spot, the damage actually stacks.
The reason this ability is considered overpowered is that you don’t need lineups to send these at all. It recharges every 40 seconds, and one missile can kill a player if they stand in it for too long. This missile can also break Killjoy’s ultimate ability which many people are complaining about. Another reason why people think it’s overpowered is that it can go above Sage walls, break doors instantly, and sometimes even go through doors. Players are complaining that this is too strong, as it requires zero skill to use effectively.
His next ability is called Special Delivery, which costs 300 credits. This is a sticky grenade that concusses players in its area of effect.
This ability can bounce once if you right-click it; otherwise, left-click to have it stick to an object or wall. This ability is similar to Neon’s stun, except that it doesn’t stun the object or wall it bounced off of if you chose to right-click it.
Tejo’s next ability is even more broken. Stealth Drone is essentially a walking crab that you control, which is invisible to enemies unless they get close to it. This can be deployed for 7 seconds. Like Special Delivery, Stealth Drone will also cost 300 credits.
What makes the Stealth Drone special is that you can detonate it by pressing left-click, and it reveals all enemies within its line of sight while also suppressing them, preventing them from using their abilities for a few seconds. This ability is essentially a combination of Cypher’s ultimate ability and KAY/O’s recon knife ability.
This ability is broken because Cypher’s camera ability, Killjoy’s Alarm Bot and Turret, and Sova’s Recon Dart cannot detect Tejo’s drone. Players will only know it is there based on sound cues or if they get close enough to it.
Lastly, his ultimate ability, which costs 8 ultimate points, is causing the most uproar. Armageddon is essentially a carpet bomb.
To use this ability, you pick a starting point, and it will then allow you to control the direction in which it gets deployed.
Like every other agent release, we can expect to see changes happen within the first couple of weeks or so. From the looks of it, Tejo will be super annoying to play against with his versatile and overwhelming kit. His abilities allow him to make aggressive plays for himself while also supporting the team. Until then, we can expect that Tejo will be a strong agent pick on every map.
