With the release of the Better Mayors update, mayors have more perks!
The first one, being mayor Foxy and her carnival perk.
In this article, I’ll explain how the carnival works, and what the best things you can get from it are.
Where’s the carnival?
The carnival area is located in the hub. Unlike other hub events, it’s a bit off to the side.
If you warp to the hub, turn around, head forwards and right. You’ll see a bunch of circus tents.
You can also do:

Getting Started
Upon entering, look to the NPC on the right. You’ll meet the carnival leader.
Talking with him, he will give you 25 carnival tickets per day (24 hours). The regular Hypixel skyblock dailies reset at 12am Eastern Daylight time.
Note that you can also earn carnival tickets from other skyblock events while Foxy is running for election. For example, participating in a Jacob’s festival will give you 1 carnival ticket. This is fairly time-consuming for the amount of time needed to earn a single ticket.
Note that you can get 2 tickets if you place gold. Still 60 minutes of work for 6 tickets.
Earning Tickets
There are other ways of earning tickets than through farming in Jacob contests. Foxy adds new drops to the Spooky festival.
Opening the Spooky chests during the Spooky Festival can grant you additional Carnival Tickets. You can also obtain party equipment, and a hat. Each of these pieces grant you +4% more Carnival tokens, for a combined total of +20%.
Playing the minigames
Walking around the carnival, you can chat with the NPCs and play some minigames. It costs 5 tickets to play each game.
You’ll be awarded 1 Token for every 100 points you earn during the minigames.
My fellow guild members and I played the Zombie Shootout minigame and scored roughly 6,000 points each, resulting in roughly 60 tokens each time.
You can take a look at the leaderboards next to each game to see which one players are scoring the highest on. Obviously, the higher the score, the less times you need to play the minigames, and thus, less grinding.
What to do with the tokens?
There are only a few things to purchase with the tokens.
A new accessory
First, the most important, there is a single new accessory that you can get called the Carnival Mask Bag. It costs 250 Carnival tokens.
I imagine that this accessory will be worth a lot of coins since this is a limited-time item. You won’t be seeing Mayor foxy come around all the time.
Masks
You can put carnival masks into your carnival bag, similar to how the new year’s cake accessory works. You can wear masks in the helmet slot. They give some small buffs.
The mask’s stat bonuses and perks don’t apply when they are in the bag. Currently, you need 500 + 500 + 1000 + 1000 + 2000 + 2000 = 7,000 Carnival Tokens to buy out all of the masks in the shop. Including the accessory, you need 7,250 tokens. That means you’ll need to play the minigames roughly 80-100 times to buy everything out.
You can purchase this from the Auction house, so if you don’t feel like farming these, feel free to buy your way to the top.
Perks
Finally, you can purchase permanent buffs related to events in skyblock. The events include:
- Spooky Festival
- Season of Jerry
- Fishing Festival
- Mining Fiesta
Each individual event shop contains 4 perks you can purchase. These perks are a minor buff if you participate in these events.
The most important perk might be the titanium perk, as mining titanium during the mining fiesta is a really good money-making method.
These shop upgrades also grant some Skyblock XP. 49 XP per shop, for a total of 196 XP.
Another fun perk is the one increasing your Spooky Sea Creature chance.
These perks don’t look to be game changing. Just nice to have if you participate in events. I personally don’t participate in these events anymore (I did when they first came out), but the events as a whole haven’t changed and are quite boring in my opinion.
Conclusion
Overall, the most important items to get during Foxy’s Carnival is to get the new accessory and the masks to place in the accessory, and to log in each day to collect your 25 free tickets from the Carnival Leader.
