A couple days ago, the U.S. Team Sentinels signed Curry as a sub. In this article, I will be going over why I think Sentinels signing Curry was a good idea.
Who is Curry
Curry is most known among the Valorant community for his unranked to Radiant challenges that he posts on his YouTube channel. Curry has hit Radiant #1 numerous times over the past few episodes.
Curry’s Stats
Looking at Curry’s stats, he tends to fill a lot for his team. This makes him good as a sub, as he is able to play all roles in case someone is gone.
Curry has a pretty high KD ratio and a high win percentage. Although this doesn’t prove he will be good against pro players, it proves he dominates the ranked scene. Since he is one of the best ranked players currently, I believe he has a chance at playing very well in the pro scene.
He has played in pro tournaments before, let’s take a look at once of his previous games.
This game was from November of last year. Although he was not on the very top of the leaderboard, he still played pretty well. He is able to keep up with other pro players. which proves why he deserves a chance at a spot as sub. Since this was taken from many months ago, I believe Curry has improved and will be able to beat this performance.
Since Curry can play many roles, is able to keep up with other pro players, and is dominating the ranked scene, I believe that makes him a good fit as a sub for Sentinels. However, as soon as he starts subbing into games, we will see how he performs with the team.
