Welcome to this week’s Hypixel Skyblock news! This week saw a pretty big content update to Hypixel Skyblock. This edition of This Week in Hypixel Skyblock covers important events that happened from October 17 – October 23!
Events That Occurred This Week
Kuudra Revamp, End QoL Update Released (October 19)

Not much to say with the Kuudra Update. Fun the first couple times, but is really boring otherwise.
The boss times weren’t as bad as we initially thought. It takes roughly 4-5 minutes to defeat Kuudra with a good team, up from 2ish minutes previously. However, with a bad team, it can take upwards of 10-15 minutes to defeat Kuudra.
There is currently a way to defeat Kuudra with the Voodoo doll.
This is probably a bug though, as this doesn’t seem like it was the intended way to defeat Kuudra.
Summary of End Update
- Ender Armor is now Co-Op Soulbound. But, the drop rate has been increased from 0.1% → 1%.
- This will make it easier to grind for in Bingo. However, it still will take a while to get a full set (Glacite armor also has a 1% drop rate).
- There is new equipment for the End (Cloak/Necklace/Belt/Gloves), all of which are Co-Op soulbound.
- There is now a new Zealot farming area – Zealots Bruiser Hideout – featuring 65k health Zealots. Zealots here have a higher chance to spawn Special Zealots. The spawn rate of specials here is currently unknown, but specials of Zealots in the Dragon’s nest have a 1/420 normal rate.
- There is a new talisman. It is not Co-Op Soulbound.
- There is an essence shop, where you can spend your Dragon Essence. From my journey to Catacombs 50, I have about 45k dragon essence in total that I got from killing Lost Adventurers. A notable perks for include increasing the Crit Damage of Ender Dragon pets, as that works outside of the End. The other perks are end-related.
Random Other Changes
- New bits shop items. The important ones are the Black and White dye, which cost 250k bits each. And also the Matriarch’s Perfume, which let you get an additional 3 Heavy Pearls per day per consumption. You can use this item twice per real-life day.
- Note that you only need 388 Heavy Pearls (130 days) worth of total Heavy Pearls to max out a clean Kuudra Armor Set (e.g. Crimson). It is very unlikely that most players will actually need to use the Matriarch’s Perfume, as the armor set costs a ridiculous amount of Crimson Essence (7,050,220 to be exact), and also 640 Kuudra Teeth. Since each Kuudra fight drops 1 tooth, players will need to fight Kuudra 640 times and also somehow obtain 7 million essence, which is not cheap in the slightest.
- Ramart Armor (dropped from Bezals, Blazes, Wither Skeletons, Wither Scepters, and Magma Cubes) has the drop rate doubled from 0.1% to 0.2%, and their health has been lowered.
- Rampart Armor can be salvaged for Crimson Essence, so this should lower the price of Crimson Essence.
- Fast Travel’s menu got cleaner by introducing sub-menus. But this adds an additional click, totaling to 3 clicks to fast travel somewhere. At this point, it’s probably faster to just type in the warp name, if you have it memorized (e.g.
/warp kuudra)
- Powder buff (HoTM 7 perk) apparently gave incorrect bonuses, that’s fixed now.
- Fixed being able to bypass the Slayer Requirement for items by dungeonizing it.

Conclusion
