Well, the dungeons update is pretty fun. We get new mobs, new treasures, and most importantly, new fairy souls.
There are 8 fairy souls located in the dungeons. Each dungeon run will have varying amounts of fairy souls. You can check how many fairy souls are in your current dungeon by going to the quest log, and hovering over the dungeons.
If you’re in a dungeon and there is no Dungeon listing, then that means that there are no fairy souls in your current dungeon.
Plenty of others have already found the fairy souls, and made their own guides on where to find them. I recommend watching this video on how to find them.
Currently, 7 of them can be found on floors 1-3.
There is 1 unique fairy soul in the super-tall room, currently only available on floor 4.
It’s on the 3rd floor, after the lever on the balcony/ledge. It’s before the room where you climb straight up to get to the 3 chests.

Secrets Guide
In order to get the secrets, you basically just have to look up a lot, and look for clues.
The Hypixel Build Team did a great job at providing us with some clues in order to look for secrets. Of course, this guide will not cover every single possible secret, but give you tips on how to find them. Finding secrets will count towards your exploration score. Each secret missed is -1.5 points, from my experience.
For instance, if you miss 3 secrets, and perfect everything else, you should have a score of 305 – 4.5 = 300.5, but since Hypixel uses the integer system, the 0.5 gets truncated to become 300. Thus, you can miss at most 3 secrets.
Secrets
Secrets are either chests or bats. They can either grant a dungeon buff, or reward the following items:
- Training Weight
- Defuse Kit
- Trap
- Decoy
- Inflatable Jerry
- Spirit Leap
Bats
Whenever you see a bat, make sure to kill it. Bats count as a secret, and upon death, basically spawn in and automatically open a chest. So, you can either get a dungeon buff, or a random “treasure”.
In a room I like to call the “diagonal room”, or Scarf’s library area, you’ll find a bat somewhere in that room.
Secrets In Puzzle Rooms
There are two puzzle rooms which contain secrets.
First up, we have the tic-tac-toe puzzle room. To the left of the tic tac toe board, there should be some leaves. There will be a chest located in there.
Next, we have the blaze puzzle room. This is the room where you have to kill the blazes in either increasing or decreasing order of HP, depending on where you enter. If you enter in from the top, then you kill them from highest to lowest HP. If the entrance to the room is on the bottom, then kill them from lowest to highest. There is also a secret in this room, like in the Tic Tac Toe room.
It’s located near the top of the tallest waterfall. Slightly behind it/to the left, there’s a small entrance to the secret.
Chests Behind Bars
Sometimes, you’ll see chests behind iron bars. That means that you’ll have to look for a lever to open it. If you find one in a long room, the lever is directly to the left of the box, near the back of it.
Here’s another common chest behind iron bars, and here’s where the lever is located.
Go in a straight line down this hallway, behind the pillar.
You’ll find a hidden lever behind this wall. It’s in the the middle of the screenshot below.
Locked Doors and the Trap Room
Occasionally, you’ll run into an orange-colored room when playing dungeons. This indicates a “trap” room. If you don’t have a check-mark in there, then that means you missed a chest.
If you find the variant of the orange room and are stumped, look for a bunch of fire floor traps. There, head left, and jump on the wooden stakes in the wall, and look up. You should see a lever there.
Here’s another example of a locked door.
There should be a huge wooden door on the right, hiding a chest. But where’s the lever to open it? Jump down the huge pit in the middle.
Additionally, there’s a fairy soul where those leaves are, by the way. Anyways, head to where Spartanraph117 is standing in the above photo. There should be a tombstone there. Blow it up with Superboom TNT and you’ll find a lever below it.
Look Behind Vines and Leaves
You’ll find plenty of secrets behind vines and leaves. Pay attention to these clues the Build team left for you.
Next to the staircase, there’s a hidden passageway, containing a chest.
Look Up. Follow Red Wool, Wood, and Ladders.
All ladders are intentional. The Hypixel Build team doesn’t put ladders for no reason. If you see ladders in a strange area, then that probably indicates that there is a secret there. Follow them!
Following these seemingly “random” ladders leads me to this room. In the upper-right corner of the screenshot below, notice a walkway. There is a secret chest in there.
Here, if you don’t notice the wood, that secret room in the upper-left of the above screenshot would be very hard to spot.
These next two secrets are very close to each other. Here, there’s a red wool indicator, letting you know that there is a secret up there. Use your Aspect of the End to teleport up there.
Behind you, you’ll find this room, where there is a ledge. Also use your Aspect of the End to get up there.
Look in Furnaces
If you ever find a furnace, look inside. You might find something good inside.
Look behind Lava
In the Lava, and behind Lava streams, you might find hidden passageways. Almost everyone should have the accessory that grants immunity to fire, so jump right in!
Look for Cracked Walls and Mobs
If you find a cracked wall, make sure to blow it up using TNT. Here, the mobs actually helped to point out that there was a secret here.
