Finally, I unlocked the potential of one of the starter hero of the game, Sharena. She’s the princess of Askr and Alfonse’s sister. She’s cheerful and loves making friends – especially with heroes.
Sharena is the fourth hero that I upgraded to 5 stars. Is she worth the upgrade?
I decided to unlock her potential because I want to use a 5 stars bonus hero in the arena. Of the 4 heroes that I have on the bonus list: Sharena, Cecilia, Virion and Clarisse, I like Sharena the best.
She unlocks her legendary Fensalir lance. It has special effect that inflicts Atk-4 on foes within 2 spaces through their next actions at the start of each turn. After using her in battle many times, I find this weapon is quite useful. It helps reduce damage she takes on enemy counter attack.
This is the build I have on her:
Pros:
- Her legendary Fensalir lance that inflicts Atk-4 on foes within 2 spaces
- She’s quite fast
- Decent defense
- Frequent bonus hero in the arena
Cons:
- She’s unique and require 20K feathers to upgrade to 5 stars
- Low Res
I use her mainly to give buff support to her allies, but occasionally utilize her to tank a hit or to attack heroes with sword or lance.
Skills to inherit:
- She comes with Rally Attack by default. However, I gave Rally Speed because I don’t have other heroes with Hone Speed to use in the team of 4. And since speed is really important in this game, I want to always get the speed buff for my heroes.
- Luna to helps her deal more damage (foes suffered Def/Res -50%)
- I don’t really know what to give her for B. Most people give her Lance breaker, but I don’t have Lance breaker fodder and I don’t want to sacrifice Narcian the GHB hero as he’s not a summoable hero. Since I have 7 copies of Virion, I tried Seal Spd 3 on her. It’s not really useful on her as enemies are usually either defeated or left with very little HP after she attack.
- I keep her Fortify Def 3 skill.
Teammates:
- Her Res is pretty low at 22. Most green mage and some blue mage will KO her in 1 turn. So, bring teammates with Fortify Res to help cover her weakness.
- Mage with blade tome (Nino) because Sharena can give enough buff
Conclusion:
After using her in battle many times, I find that she can almost do Ephraim’s job as a support hero. She’s quite fast that she avoids being doubled by enemies. Her weapon is very useful. I think unlocking her potential to 5 stars is worth it as she can be use as bonus hero in the Arena. Since she’s one of the starter hero, she’s on bonus hero rotation regularly.
