If you’ve played dungeons, you know that playing at 200% speed is far from fun. It can be especially frustrating in Master Mode Floor 7 (M7), where speed is crucial. There are two main ways to achieve 400% speed: either by using Maxor boots or by allocating your tuning points to boost your speed. In this article, I’ll break down which option you should choose.
Necron Vs Maxor Boots
Necron boots provide more strength and defense, whereas Maxor boots offer increased critical damage and speed.
If you’re playing as a tank or healer, you should use Necron boots and allocate your tuning points toward speed. On the other hand, if you’re playing as an archer or berserker, you should equip Maxor boots and focus your tuning points on increasing your critical chance. This setup maximizes your damage output (DPS) for DPS classes while boosting survivability for tank and healer roles.
However, if you’re highly skilled and have better stats, you can also use Maxor boots while playing as a tank or healer. Increasing your critical chance is important for DPS classes because it allows the Overload enchant to trigger more frequently.
If you have the resources, you can use both sets of boots. Some players wear Maxor boots during the dungeon clear phase for the added speed, then switch to Necron boots during the boss fight for higher DPS. Necron boots offer slightly better DPS if you’ve allocated all your tuning points to critical chance. To compensate for the speed loss from switching to Necron boots (or having no tuning points invested in speed), players use utility items like the Rogue Sword and the Weird Tuba to reach 400% speed.
In conclusion, use Necron boots if you’re playing a non-DPS class, and use Maxor boots if you’re playing a DPS class. If you’re experienced and have better gear, you can experiment with using Maxor boots even on tank or healer roles, or switch between both boots depending on the situation.
