Useful Resources and Websites for Hypixel Skyblock

In July 2019, I joined Hypixel Skyblock. In short, it’s a clicking simulator, but at least it’s a fun clicking simulator. It’s a game all about spending countless hours farming resources in order to progress and upgrade your character. Overall, it’s been a pretty fun time sink.

One thing I noticed about Hypixel Skyblock is that there are a lot of creators who create tools and resources for other people to use. I noticed how there was no real “centralized” location for new players to learn about these websites and tools.

So, I’ve compiled a list of most of the helpful resources that I’ve used when playing Hypixel Skyblock.

SkyBlock Addons Mod

Link and installation info: https://hypixel.net/threads/forge-1-8-9-skyblockaddons-useful-features-for-skyblock.2109217/

This is a useful mod that is allowed for use in Hypixel Skyblock. Many of the popular YouTubers use this, and so does the majority of the Skyblock playerbase.

Notes about this are that this mod is very customizable, and there are many settings to go through. I recommend looking up some YouTube videos of this mod before installing, which can be found in the post linked above.

Note: this does require you to play on 1.8.9. If you like playing in the current versions of Minecraft, I recommend finding a resource pack of the newer textures to use.

One such texture pack can be found here: https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/1-12-textures-in-1-8-8/

Sky Lea Moe – Skyblock Stats Checker

Link: https://sky.lea.moe/

Sky Lea Moe is a great tool to use to check your Skyblock stats. It displays a ton of information on your character in a neat style, and is easy to navigate around. Newer players might find navigating the collections and skills menus a bit difficult, so it’s nice to have them on a great display.

In order to use Sky Lea Moe, you have to turn on the API settings that you want the website to be able to access. Basically, the API lets the Sky Lea Moe website talk to the Hypixel Skyblock servers in order to get the data from there. If your friends have their API settings enabled, then you can check up on their stats as well.

They display cool things, such as death count statistics, items fished, number of gifts given and received, which are normally not viewable in-game. Just scrolling and reading some neat facts about yourself is pretty cool. I’ve died to the void 305 times!

Stonks GG – Skyblock Bazaar Price Checker

Link: https://stonks.gg/

Stonks GG is a great website that you check the bazaar prices without needing to be online! It also lets you see the price history of all items sold on the bazaar, ever since its introduction on March 10, 2020!

Stonks GG also displays a lot of the information which is normally difficult to access on the bazaar. For example, looking at the buy and sell orders on a tiny menu in-game is quite difficult, but on Stonks GG, they lay it out in a nice way that you can read all of it.

Another great resource on Stonks GG is the NPC-Resell List, which lists out which items to purchase from the shops around the hub and to resell to the bazaar for a higher price than what you paid for, earning you extra profit. Yeah, you could just look at the sell prices and compare them, but this saves so much time.

At the time of writing this, Stonks GG says that we can purchase packed ice from the builder shop for 9 coins each, and we can sell it for 45.6 coins each on the bazaar. That’s a 5x profit! However, due to Hypixel’s limitations, you can only buy 640 of each item per day.

In my experience, crafting the items into their enchanted form usually earns a tiny bit more money in the bazaar. Not always, though, it’s always good to double check.

Mat Does Dev – Skyblock Auction Price Checker

Link: https://skyblock.matdoes.dev/auctions

The Mat Does Dev auction price checker is a handy tool for figuring out what is the average price items on the auction house are being sold for. This is useful for when you’re searching for things to sell for extra coins, but can’t decide whether you should sell it on the auction house, or the bazaar. Also, it helps you to know whether or not you’re overpaying for an item, or underpaying for an item, since they list the average and median prices of the item you’re going for in the last 24 hours.

This resource helps a ton when I get a rare slayer drop and I wonder how much it’s worth, but am too lazy to go to the auction house and look up the price.

HyAuctions – Skyblock Auction Price Checker

Similar to Mat Does Dev, HyAuctions also allows you to check the price of auctions on the auction house. Just use the one you like more.

Hypixel Skyblock Wiki

Link: https://hypixel-skyblock.fandom.com/f

This wiki helps you to find all the useful information about any items. You can look up drop rates for certain items, upgrade costs, crafting recipes, and much more. In my experience of playing Hypixel Skyblock, the majority of players don’t help to answer questions that newer players have, such as “How do you craft ____”? or “What collection is _______ in?”. Try it out in any of the mega hubs, almost no one listens to or answers your questions. This is where the wiki comes in, it’s there to answer your questions, and the wiki team are constantly updating it.

Hypixel Skyblock Forums

Link: https://hypixel.net/forums/skyblock.157/

If you click on the patch notes section near the top, you can read about the new updates on skyblock. This helps you keep up-to-date with the latest updates to the game. I find the patch notes to generally be more helpful than the discussion sections, mainly because the discussion sections are so cluttered and hard to find information that you’re looking for.

It’s kind of like reddit, but not like reddit.

YouTube

Since Hypixel Skyblock is a very popular game, many YouTubers have created new player guides and tutorials for all to use. I strongly recommend going to YouTube and searching up “hypixel skyblock ____________” (fill in the blank), and you should get some videos explaining what you asked.

Spreadsheets

QoL Spreadsheet by Cl0wns – Link to Forum Post

In Cl0wns’s spreadsheet, they display all the accessories you own using the API, and tells you which accessory to purchase next (since it’s the next-cheapest accessory you don’t have). They also track your skill and pet exp growths, so you can see how much exp you gain over time, and they also have a bazaar flipper, which tries to predict which things to buy for at a low price and sell at a higher price, in order to make some profit.

Minions Sheet by TBlazeWarriorT – Link to Forum Post

In TBLazeWarriorT’s spreadsheet, they let you know which minion upgrades are the cheapest and quickest for you to unlock the next minion slot, and the sheet also tells you which minions currently produce more money when selling to the bazaar.
