Fire Emblem Heroes game has come to a long journey. It’s almost 3 years since it was first released. I still remembered when many complained that there’s no content in FEH. The first couple months was rough with 50 max stamina, no skill inheritance, etc. Look at it now. Fire Emblem Heroes game is nowhere close to where it was first started.
Let’s take a look at the numerous game mode in Fire Emblem Heroes. I’m going to split it up to several categories: competitive, story, quest and others.
Competitive – in this category, players played against AI, but their score is ranked against another. Higher rank results in better rewards.
– Arena
– Arena Assault
– Allegiance Battle
– Aether Raids
– Grand Conquest
– Mjolnir’s Strike
– Rokkr Sieges
– Tempest Trial
– Voting Gauntlet
Story – in this category, players played against AI, but not ranked. Basically, do it once and done. Rewards are the same for all players.
– Book 1, 2, 3, 4
– Paralogue/Xenologue
– Mythic/Legendary Hero Battle
– Grand Hero Battle
– Bound Hero Battle
– Squad Assault
– Chain Challenge
– Blessed Garden
– Heroes Path
– Tactics Drills
– Heroic Ordeals
Side Quest – similar to story category, but updated periodically
– Rival Domain
– Forging Bond
– Hall of Form
– Quests
– Training Tower/Special Training
Other – mostly filler game
– Lost Lore
– Tap Battle
– Aether Resort
Even though there are many different game modes, they are not always available. Many of them are released as events and only available for a certain period. And some of the game mode is not as enjoyable as the others. As a result, I sometimes feel that there’re nothing to do in the game.
For each of the game mode, there are things that I like and I don’t like.
Story category.
Pros:
– Rewards
– Free Heroes
Cons:
– Once and Done
– Too short (may be less than 10 minutes to complete when new content is released)
Side quest category
Pros:
– Rewards
Cons:
– Sometimes it becomes too repetitive (doesn’t apply to Hall of Form)
Other category.
Pros:
– Skippable, but we’ll miss a few rewards
– Requires very small of time to complete
Cons:
– Very small rewards.
As for the competitive category, I’ll leave it for next time.
