Tempest Trials Review – The Good

Tempest Trials – Resonant Fangs ended the other day. The trials was available for 2 weeks. Here’s the conclusion for the second trials.

Let’s evaluate how it was. Let’s divide it into the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

The Good

New Content

Even though the developer keep adding new content, I still sometimes find Fire Emblem Heroes is lacking content. May be because we are used to an actual Fire Emblem game with rich stories and things to do. FEH story mode is extremely short. So, this tempest trials gives new content. It gives us something more to achieve.

Rewards

The Tempest Trials gives quite a lot of rewards and a few of them are unique that we can only get it by getting enough points completing the trials.

Here’s the list of unique rewards:

  • Tobin: 4 stars and 5 stars
  • Resistance +1 seal
  • Phantom Spd 1

There are also up to 36 orbs up for grab if we are willing to play the game repeatedly. There’s also up to 10,000 feathers up for grab to those who play lots and lots of times (rank 1-1,000).

XPs, SPs and Hero Merits

The trials is also a excellent mode to increase XPs, SPs and Hero Merits. By the end of the trials, 4 of the heroes I sent to battle have lots of extra SPs and their Hero Merits are maxed out. Some of these characters that I use consistently in the Tempest Trials are drowning in SP, especially during the Double SP Weekends. My Nino, for example, has over 4,000 SP.

Difficulty

The difficulty of the Resonating Fangs tempest trials is not as high as the previous one, making it possible for casual players to actually complete the trials. When we continue the battle after one of our teams gets defeated, the defeated enemies do not get re-spawned in the map and their HP doesn’t get replenished.
