The Most Difficult Raid…?

A few days ago, we attempted to try out a Blastoise raid.

It was really really difficult. Let me explain:

Blastoise is a water Pokémon, which means its two weaknesses are electric and grass…
Except that Blastoise had Bite and Ice Beam. Bite is super effective against psychic-type pokémon, and Ice Beam is super effective against grass-type pokémon.

That is the problem with Blastoise raids: its only counters are super weak. All grass pokémon die quickly, and electric pokémon also die quickly. Even with 5 people, it still had roughly 1/5 of its health left. I think we would need six or seven people to defeat a Blastoise with the moves Bite and Ice Beam. The reason we were able to defeat tyranitar so quickly is because we were able to find good counters, such as Vaporeon. Tyranitar’s moves are not very effective against Vaporeon, but Blastoise’s moves are effective against any electric-type pokémon and any grass-type pokémon. We all ended up wasting our free raid pass, since we couldn’t defeat this Blastoise. I wasted many revives and potions reviving my dead Joletons, Exeggutors, and Venusaurs.

So far, I’ve completed 6 raids (according to my “win raids” badge). I’ve only received 1 TM. TM’s are nice, as they allow your pokémon to change their moves. TM’s are decently rare.

The easiest raid, in my opinion, is the Magikarp raid.

Warning: The magikarp still does damage to you, even though splash has the number 0 next to it.
